Your 10p per day would be used to cover the operating costs associated with our essential expansion programme.  The expansion will ensure we can continue to provide food parcels to local families and individuals in Milton Keynes and the surrounding villages who hit a short-term crisis

Essential Expansion Programme

• Get our warehouse up and running by April 2010 to enable the following activities to take place:
• Expand our service to include baby food and toiletries.
• Increase the number of food parcels offered per household from 3 to 5 in a rolling 12-month period.
• Receive bulk food donations & distribute via local community groups.
• Create an education centre where local schools can bring groups of children to experience Food Bank first hand

• Provide a delivery service for the elderly, disabled or housebound.

• Launch our “Mobile Food Bank” to enable us to take our service to parts of Milton Keynes and the surrounding villages that are not currently covered.

Do a Sponsored Walk, Diet or Cycle for The Food Bank.

Why not raise money for The Food Bank by doing something you enjoy or are good at. A team from Olney recently ran the Olney Pancake Race to support The Food Bank and raised almost £700 whilst having a great time. They made use of our Just Giving link which enabled them to create their own page to raise sponsorship. Check out the photos via our Photo Album link on the left hand panel.

Money!

Whilst our main “currency” has always been food, financial donations to the Food Bank are also necessary as they enable us to buy specific food items when stocks run low. They also help fund the essential administration required to operate The Food Bank such as printing and postage etc.
