    Food Collection

To cope with an ever-increasing demand for emergency food, The Food Bank collects supplies through schools, churches and other groups. Collection days outside supermarkets present an ideal opportunity to raise the awareness of the need amongst the local population and has prompted some encouraging and immediate donations.

School and Church Harvest Festivals have been very important instrumentally in building up alternative collection sources.

Donations of food can be made to The Food Bank at the Milton Keynes Christian Centre on Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 4.00pm and Sundays between 8.00am-1.00pm.

Food required list:
Tinned Soup
Cereals (in the 500gm size rather than family sizes)
Long life milk
Sugar
Tea / Coffee
Pasta
Rice
Pasta Sauce
Tinned meat
Tinned fish
Cup-a-soups
Tinned Tomatoes
Tinned Rice Pudding
Tinned Vegetables
Tinned Fruit
Fruit Juice
Baked Beans
It is important that all food donated is “in date” and not food with a short shelf life.
The Food Bank is actively looking for satellite collection points – churches, schools, workplaces and activity groups. Also corporate sources of bulk supplies are welcome. Please contact us if you can help us.
