Help The Food Bank to make sure that nobody in Milton Keynes and the surrounding villages goes to bed hungry, by taking part in one of the following activities:

Summary of our first BIG little Give!

2011 was our first ever BIG little Give and thanks to all those who took part in so many innovative ways - it was a great success!

• Just under 16,000 separate items of food were donated with an estimated value of £10,284!
• £4,300 of financial support was raised as a direct result of the BLG!
• Children at St Monicas School raised £305 by being sponsored to give up sweets for the week of the BLG!
• Shenley Brook End School raised £532.06 by holding a "dress down day" and selling home made cakes!
• Food collections were carried out by many local schools, Churches, businesses and Parish Councils!
• Bev Field ran the Olney Pancake race and raised over £650!
• Many Churches supported the BLG with the proceeds of their Lent Lunches!
• 7 Supermarket collections took place during the week at Woburn Sands, Olney an Milton Keynes with over 4000 Food Bank shopping lists handed out raising awareness and generating food donations!

Next years event will be bigger and better - so watch this space for further updates!
